How to deliver files from Google Drive
Connect Google Drive
Sign in to SentIt, open Connections and choose Connect account for Google Drive. Sign in to the Google account where you own or can edit the files you want to deliver and approve the requested access.
Select downloadable files
In the delivery editor, choose Google Drive and use Google Picker to select individual files. Select individual files; folders and shortcuts cannot be attached. Export Google Docs, Sheets and Slides to regular files first, then upload or select those exports.
Prepare the package
Add local uploads or Dropbox attachments if needed. Review the files, write a title and message and choose expiry. Use files you own or can edit so SentIt can keep the selected version available in Drive. For a read-only shared file, make an authorized copy or upload an exported copy from your computer.
Publish one delivery link
Publish and share the link. Clients preview supported files and download originals without a Google or SentIt account. Keep access to the selected files and revisions available for the life of the delivery.
What access you grant
SentIt accesses the files you choose in Google Picker, rather than your entire Drive. Google calls this permission drive.file. SentIt also tells Drive to keep the selected version for downloads, which requires permission to edit the file. Use files you own or can edit.
What happens when a source changes
Clients receive the version you selected. Editing the file in Drive won’t change the delivery; remove it and add it again to send the new version at the same link. Retained revisions remain in Drive after removal from SentIt; manage their retention in Drive. SentIt does not sync changes automatically.
Questions before you send
Can I attach Google Docs, Sheets or Slides directly?
No. Export the document to a regular file such as PDF, DOCX or XLSX first. Add that export from your computer or select a downloadable exported file in Drive.
Can I select a whole Google Drive folder?
Select individual files through Google Picker. Folders and shortcuts are not attachable on current connections. Older connections may still show folder selection; new accounts use individual file selection.
Do recipients need Google accounts or Drive permissions?
No. Recipients use the active SentIt link without their own Google account. SentIt uses the sender’s connection to deliver the selected revision. Anyone with the active link can access it.
Why can’t I attach a file shared with me?
SentIt must retain the chosen revision for a stable download. If you cannot edit the file, retaining its revision may fail. Use a file you own or can edit, make an authorized copy, or download an export and upload it to SentIt.
What happens after I disconnect or revoke access?
Connected references become unavailable. Reconnect from Connections and re-add files to restore a usable selection. Disconnecting clears SentIt’s credentials; revoke app access separately in your Google account. Retained revisions are managed in Drive, and in-progress transfers may finish.
Will your delivery fit?

- 1 GB per file and 1 GB storage on Free. 5 GB per file and 50 GB storage on Premium.
- Files in Dropbox or Drive
- Stay with their provider and use none of your SentIt upload storage. The upload size caps above do not apply; each download must fit your remaining daily allowance.
- Daily download allowance
- 100 GB daily on Free; 2 TB on Premium shared across deliveries. Downloads of connected files, full-file previews and files read to create ZIPs count toward this allowance.
- Files and ZIPs
- A delivery holds up to 100 files. Download all creates a ZIP for packages up to 4 GB, subject to the daily ZIP allowance. Download larger packages file by file. ZIP downloads also count toward your transfer allowance.
For example, one complete download of a 10 GB connected file uses 10 GB of your daily allowance. Full-file previews and ZIP creation also count.
Free links last up to 7 days. Premium defaults to 30 days and can use a future date or no scheduled expiry. Keep uploaded files in your account and connected files accessible at their provider.
Anyone with the link can access the files until it expires or you remove access. No passwords or recipient authentication.
Upload and download request limits
You can upload 2 GB from your computer per day on Free or 50 GB on Premium, within your storage allowance. Free allows 25 download requests per file per UTC day. Premium has no daily per-file cap, subject to fair use. Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC.
