SentIt vs WeTransfer
A WeTransfer alternative for files already in your cloud storage.
Your final files may already live in Dropbox and Google Drive, with one last export on your computer. SentIt brings them into a single delivery with a note, previews and an account-free recipient page. Start with the files you already have and give the client one place to find them.

Bring the whole handoff together
Choose SentIt when…
Your handoff spans several storage sources and you want a delivery page under your own name. Both Free and Premium connect Dropbox and Google Drive; Premium adds your branding and verified domain.
Choose WeTransfer when…
You need password protection, access control or team workspaces. Editing after sending is available there too; it is not an exclusive SentIt feature.
SentIt vs WeTransfer: the practical differences
| What matters | WeTransfer | SentIt |
|---|---|---|
| Starting a delivery | Upload files in the browser, then send an email transfer or copy a link. WeTransfer stores a copy; the originals stay on your device. [3] | Select existing Dropbox and Drive files, then add local uploads. Connected files stay at their provider and require continued access. |
| Free limits | Up to 10 transfers or 3 GB total in a rolling 30-day window. [1] | 1 GB storage for uploads, 1 GB per uploaded file and 2 GB uploaded per day. Connected files stay at their provider; 100 GB daily covers cloud downloads, full-file previews and ZIP creation. |
| Changes after sharing | Add or remove files on eligible sent transfers; older transfers and download-only mode have restrictions. [2] | Add or remove attachments and save delivery details at the same active link. Cloud source changes need removing and re-adding the attachment. |
| Branding and access | Ultimate includes branded pages, password protection and Access Control. [1] | Premium includes a logo, accent colour, light or dark appearance, optional removal of SentIt branding and a verified custom domain. Links are unlisted and have no password protection. |
| Working with a team | Teams adds shared workspaces and admin tools. [1] | Individual sender accounts. Share a finished delivery with clients without requiring recipient accounts. |

A client handoff in practice
A brand launch, from three places
Keep logo exports in Dropbox, select the exported brand guide from Drive and upload the final source artwork. Publish the package together. If a logo needs correcting, remove the old attachment and add the revised file at the same active link.

Can I update files after sending with either service?
Yes. SentIt lets you change the attached set at the same active delivery URL. WeTransfer also documents editing eligible sent transfers. Check its editing guide for restrictions; choose based on your whole workflow rather than this feature alone.
Will your delivery fit?
- Files from your computer
- 1 GB per file and 1 GB storage on Free. 5 GB per file and 50 GB storage on Premium.
- Files in Dropbox or Drive
- Stay with their provider and use none of your SentIt upload storage. The upload size caps above do not apply; each download must fit your remaining daily allowance.
- Daily download allowance
- 100 GB daily on Free; 2 TB on Premium shared across deliveries. Downloads of connected files, full-file previews and files read to create ZIPs count toward this allowance.
- Files and ZIPs
- A delivery holds up to 100 files. Download all creates a ZIP for packages up to 4 GB, subject to the daily ZIP allowance. Download larger packages file by file. ZIP downloads also count toward your transfer allowance.
For example, one complete download of a 10 GB connected file uses 10 GB of your daily allowance. Full-file previews and ZIP creation also count.
Free links last up to 7 days. Premium defaults to 30 days and can use a future date or no scheduled expiry. Keep uploaded files in your account and connected files accessible at their provider.
Anyone with the link can access the files until it expires or you remove access. No passwords or recipient authentication.
Upload and download request limits
You can upload 2 GB from your computer per day on Free or 50 GB on Premium, within your storage allowance. Free allows 25 download requests per file per UTC day. Premium has no daily per-file cap, subject to fair use. Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC.
